The Best Breweries To Visit In Connecticut This Fall...

CT Valley Brewing Company Best Breweries In Connecticut

CT Valley Brewing Company: South Windsor

Run, do not walk, to CT Valley. The best kept secret in all of Connecticut would be their spiked smoothie. You’re probably thinking... smoothie? Yes, a beer that tastes like a smoothie. With combinations like peach raspberry and mango pineapple, you can enjoy the tastes of summer all fall and winter long. Trust us on this one, you need to try it.

Best Breweries in CT Kinsmen

Kinsmen Brewing Company: Southington

Connecticut is known for their great pizza debate and while we’re sipping our beers we may as well add the pizza at Kinsmen to the list! From their in-house pizza shop, Sauced, you can order a fresh pie with whatever you’d like on top. Whether you choose to sit inside their epic redone factory taproom or outside along the walking trail, you can’t go wrong with a sour or pale ale and a slice of ‘za at Kinsmen.

The Best Breweries To Visit In Connecticut This Fall. Half Full ThirdPlace

Half Full Third Place: Stamford

Half Full Brewery’s ‘Third Place’ taproom combines local brewing with an amazing modern-rustic atheistic. Their limited-edition beers and wine are accompanied by pet and family-friendly outdoor seating. Getting to see kids and dogs join in on the fun added great energy to the trip so be sure to bring the whole team when you visit! Also, if you’re like me, flights of beer are a must for a first-time brewery visit, but ordering them can be tricky! I really appreciated that they had various flight recommendations on the menu to take the stress out of picking the perfect combo!

Witch Doctor Brewing Best Breweries in Connecticut

Witchdoctor Brewery: Southington

If you like fruit beer you’ll want to check out Witchdoctor. (*wink wink* the I Am Fruit beer is unbelievable). Their inviting tap room is super cozy with lots of light, great selection of beers and some food to snack on. With tons of room in between tables, you can take a seat to enjoy your beer inside or outside.

Best CT Breweries Urban Lodge

Urban Lodge Brewing Company: Manchester

Pale Ales and IPAs are nice but Sours are in! We might be biased here but the Stop ’n Go sour is a 10/10. This unique brewery has indoor and outdoor seating with a fire pit outside and string lights to help set the mood.

two roads brewery best CT Breweries

Two Roads Brewing Company: Stratford

At Two Roads, they believe in Taking the Road Less Traveled! Their brewery has everything you need for an afternoon of fun. From a large tasting room to a huge outdoor beer garden there is plenty of space for your socially distant beer tasting needs. Pro Tip- Due to COVID-19 Two Roads requires you to make a reservation online to ensure safety for guests + staff.

Thomas Hooker Brewing Best Breweries in CT

 Thomas Hooker Brewery: Hartford

This taproom, located in the Coltsville section of our state capitol, has the best view of the Colt building and if you have ever driven through Hartford on I-91, you’ll recognize the the famous blue dome which is the backdrop to this brewery. Featuring a variety of beers on tap from pale ales to IPAs this is a brewery that has something for everyone, including an Oktoberfest beer for those missing the festivities this year!
